Information Technology and Cybersecurity Manager

 Matt Tylenda joined the Sterling team in 2023, bringing with him an extensive background as a director in information technology and cybersecurity departments. With nearly two decades of experience, he provides tangible solutions and proactive benefit to Sterling’s efficiency and ability to serve clients.

With the paramount task of managing client assets with the utmost privacy and safety, Matt’s experience in cybersecurity is invaluable.

Matt received his bachelor of science in information technology: information security and network administration from George Mason University. He also attended George Mason for a master of science in applied information technology.

Matt pioneered Sterling’s Green Team Initiative in an entirely volunteer capacity. His safety and recycling protocols have reduced physical and e-waste production. Passionate about uplifting members of underserved communities, Matt has volunteered his time and skills for the Greater DC Diaper Bank, the board of the Fairfax County NAACP and local schools. He has also consulted on website creation for the International First Responder Seatbelt Pledge and with the National Gold Star Family Registry.
