Client Support Associate
Sylvia Ruiz joined Sterling in 2022, bringing decades of accounting expertise and a meticulous approach to financial management. As a Client Support Associate, she supports private foundations by processing payments, managing 1099s and ensuring accurate, efficient tax filings for clients. With a strong commitment to compliance and financial integrity, she plays a key role in maintaining smooth financial operations for Sterling’s clients.
Before joining Sterling, Sylvia spent more than a decade in accounting roles, managing accounts payable and receivable, tracking financial transactions and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. She has extensive experience supporting financial reporting, auditing processes and litigation support. Earlier in her career, she worked as a payroll administrator and bookkeeper for 17 years.
In addition to her professional work, Sylvia has a long history of community service. She has volunteered with Texas hospitals, participated in school district puppet shows promoting the “Just Say No” initiative and supported numerous fundraising efforts for churches. She has also contributed her time to the Junior Service League and the March of Dimes.
